Free beta for Apple Silicon Macs running macOS 14 or newer.

This release includes the new icon, compact menu bar controls, main window, and detection of disabled monitors after restarting.

Installation

Download the ZIP, extract it, and move Monitor Toggle.app to Applications. This beta is locally signed, but is not Apple-notarized. macOS may block the first launch.

Compatibility

Monitor switching was tested on Mac Studio M1 Ultra with macOS 26.5.2, ASUS PA329CV, and AOC 24G10E. Other setups, sleep/wake, and crash recovery are not fully verified. The app uses a private macOS display API that Apple can change.

License and credits

This existing beta contains display transaction bindings adapted from OpenDisplay under GPL-3.0-only. Its corresponding source and license are included in the ZIP. The beta is supplied without warranty. This notice applies to the current beta; it does not promise a license for future releases.
